Sanchez earns USWNT recall after record 20-goal NWSL season

Emma Hayes has recalled Ashley Sanchez to a 26-player USWNT squad for October home friendlies against world champions Spain. Sanchez has 20 goals in 26 games for North Carolina Courage, an NWSL single-season record for an American player. Her last cap came against Argentina in October 2024. She needs one more to pass Temwa Chawinga's overall single-season record.
