Disney cuts couple hundred HR and IT jobs in September

Disney laid off a couple hundred staff on 29 September 2026, Deadline first reported. Variety reported cuts fell on corporate HR and IT teams and divisional support teams. Disney Entertainment Television and the film studio were exempt, Deadline reported. The cuts are smaller than April and July rounds. Disney employed 231,000 at end of fiscal 2025, Deadline reported.
