Ireland call up Shanade Hopcroft for Kazakhstan World Cup play-off

Carla Ward has called Crystal Palace midfielder Shanade Hopcroft into Ireland's 25-player squad for the 2027 Women's World Cup play-off with Kazakhstan. The 28-year-old is England-born and qualifies through her County Sligo-born grandmother. Ireland visit Astana on 9 October before the return at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork on 13 October.
