Kendrick says no-hope audition won Up in the Air role

Anna Kendrick said she secured her Oscar-nominated role as Natalie in Jason Reitman's Up in the Air opposite George Clooney with an awkward, goofy audition because she assumed she had no chance, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She spoke at a Zurich Film Festival masterclass while on the circuit with Babies, the Reporter said.
