Demi Vollering wins 2026 women's world road race

Demi Vollering won the women's world road race in Montreal on 26 September 2026. The Dutch rider beat Poland's Kasia Niewiadoma in a two-up uphill sprint after 180.1km, the longest women's Worlds road race. Vollering attacked with 40km left, was caught with under 20km to go, then controlled the final lap to take the world title.
