Nintendo of America awarded US$4.5 million in Switch piracy default judgment

Nintendo of America was awarded US$4.5 million (£3.4 million) against James C. Williams, known as "Archbox". A US District Judge granted default judgment, an order when a defendant does not respond, after Williams failed to answer the Switch piracy suit. Nintendo claimed US$150,000 for each of 30 games, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
