Sony, Universal Allege Suno v6 Hid Copied Music Through 'Model Laundering'

Sony Music and Universal Music Group allege Suno's v6 music generator infringes copyright through 'model laundering' — training the new system on songs made by earlier models that were themselves allegedly trained on unlicensed music taken from YouTube. Suno, which has no label license, says v6 was rebuilt from scratch using new data, including user data.
