Nexterity robot tightens pipe flange bolts four at a time

Nexterity has built a battery-powered robot that loosens and tightens bolts on flange joints, the bolted connections that join sections of pipe. Founded by former ExxonMobil engineer Lindsey Elliott, the two-piece system clamps around pipe, slides into place, and handles four bolts at once remotely without hands-on work. It covers standard pipe sizes and packs into a Pelican case.
