Proposal: full Social Security at 60 for physical workers

Rep. Haley Stevens on Sept. 24 proposed letting workers in physically demanding jobs collect full Social Security — the monthly federal retirement check — at 60. It is a bill, the Blue Collar Social Security Fairness Act, not law. Today early claims start at 62, with full payments at 67 for those born in 1960 or later.
