Former Starfield systems lead doubts Starfield 2 will happen

Former Starfield lead systems designer Kurt Kuhlmann said he would be very surprised if Bethesda made a sequel. Speaking to FRVR in an interview reported 24 September 2026, he said he does not think the first game was anywhere near successful enough to justify Starfield 2. He added it did not live up to director Todd Howard's original vision.
