Greens correct $800 million error in wealth tax policy costing

The Green Party revised its wealth tax costings after finding an $800–826 million calculation error. Inland Revenue's administrative costs were mistakenly recorded as revenue rather than expenses, inflating projected proceeds. The error was corrected internally. The policy itself—a 2.5 percent levy on assets above $10 million and 33 percent tax on inheritances over $1 million—stays unchanged.
