Brooklyn library to display 50 Victorian hairwork pieces from Missouri museum

Almost 50 hairwork keepsakes — jewellery woven from human hair — will go on view at the Morbid Anatomy Library in Brooklyn, New York, on 27 September. The group was gifted by the family behind Leila's Hair Museum in Independence, Missouri, the library said. Founder Leila Cohoon, who died in 2024, amassed about 3,000 pieces from the 1950s, The Art Newspaper reported.
