Oil and the 10-year Treasury yield — the government's 10-year borrowing rate — moved in lockstep in mid-September, closest since 2019, CNBC reported. The yield hit 5.041%, highest since 2007 per Reuters, as surging oil fed inflation fears and hit stocks. I expect high oil to keep borrowing costs up.
