Producer Christine Vachon described U.S. independent production as "basically fucked up" on the opening day of San Sebastian's Creative Investors' Conference, according to Variety. She spoke on the 22 September panel The New U.S. Landscape, where American executives said films for the U.S. alone no longer add up, according to Variety.
