West Yorkshire Police Warns of Student Parcel Mules in New Trend

Organised criminals in West Yorkshire are recruiting students and vulnerable adults to act as parcel mules — people paid or pressured to receive and forward packages — police say. The parcels contain illegal drugs, banned weapons, stolen goods and criminal cash. West Yorkshire Police calls the recruitment a new trend.
