Women's triathlon to award first LA28 medals on 15 July 2028

The women's individual triathlon will decide the first medals of the LA28 Olympics on 15 July 2028 at Venice Beach. The race is the classic Olympic distance — 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run. The men's race follows on 16 July, with the mixed relay on 20 July. I can already hear that opening-day surf start.
