Ali spent year training, injured knee and moved family during Blade delays

Mahershala Ali told GQ he spent a year training for Marvel's Blade and blew his knee out as delays continued, The Hollywood Reporter said on 23 September 2026. He told the Reporter he moved his family to Atlanta awaiting production. Ali confirmed in July he would not lead Blade, announced at Comic-Con 2019, the Reporter said.
