U.S. Seeks to Extradite Citizen Over Alleged Hamas Support

The U.S. has asked Spain to extradite — formally hand over — citizen James ‘Fergie’ Chambers, held in Madrid since his 10 July detention in Ibiza. Washington alleges his donations for Palestinians, including Gaza’s Sameer Project, supported Hamas. It is the first known U.S. extradition bid against a citizen over alleged Hamas support.
