Focus Features has won Robert Eggers's Romeo and Juliet adaptation after a bidding contest with A24, Sony and Warner Bros, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 22 September 2026. The deal is reported in the high-seventy millions, covering filmmaker and talent fees plus production budget, according to the same report.
