Lewis calls airport investment plan privatization, warns of higher fees

NDP Leader Avi Lewis said Sept. 22 that Ottawa's plan to let private investors bid to run Canada's four largest airports amounts to privatization. He said decades-long private control in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver would likely raise fees for travellers. Ottawa says it would keep ownership of the land.
