Monthly VK2735 held onto 90% of weight loss, Viking says

Viking Therapeutics on Sept. 22 reported early results from its VK2735 obesity weight-maintenance trial. People who lost weight in the first 19 weeks then switched to weekly, every-two-week, or monthly doses. The monthly shot kept up to 90% of the average loss, the company says. Full side-effect and dropout numbers are still needed to judge costs and staying power.
