Undead Labs splits from Xbox to become employee-owned independent

Undead Labs has completed its separation from Xbox and is now an independent, employee-owned studio. The studio announced on 22 September 2026 it will continue developing State of Decay 3 under a new publishing agreement following Microsoft's 2018 acquisition.
