Trump Claims Greenland Deal Gives U.S. Lasting Security Control

Trump says an upcoming agreement with Denmark and Greenland gives the U.S. permanent control over security and other needs there. Denmark counters that Arctic security is NATO's shared responsibility. The deal would enlarge the U.S. military presence but still needs approval from lawmakers in Denmark and Greenland before signing.
