Tarakihi bag limit set at 10 per person nationwide

Recreational fishers can keep 10 tarakihi per person nationwide, Fisheries Minister Shane Jones has decided, RNZ reported. Jones said he weighed up the latest science and catch data, questions over juvenile numbers, and fishing impacts. The Government says the lower bag limit — the maximum take per person — will ease pressure and aid recovery.
