Morning Ground Stop Hits Newark, Philadelphia and Teterboro

The FAA ordered a ground stop — a temporary hold on takeoffs — around 10 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2026, for Newark Liberty, Philadelphia International and Teterboro airports. Both arrivals and departures at Newark were delayed. Some Philadelphia TRACON air-traffic control radio channels were affected until the early afternoon.
