Australia Sets 62-70% Emissions-Cut Goal for 2035

Australia will aim to cut climate pollution 62-70% below 2005 levels by 2035, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said September 21 at the opening of Climate Week NYC in New York. He called the goal 'ambitious but achievable,' saying the country 'will get there' using mainly renewable electricity supported by gas.
