Deaths to top births in 2060s, Treasury says

Treasury's seventh Intergenerational Report, released 21 September 2026, has deaths topping births in the 2060s for the first time. Growth slows to 0.9%, fertility — babies per woman — to 1.34. Chalmers launched it at ANU. Japan and Germany are already there. I've heard the optimism; the maths must be paid for.
