Australia Bids for Temporary UN Security Council Seat in 2029-2030

Australia is seeking a temporary seat on the UN Security Council for 2029-2030. Anthony Albanese formally launched the campaign, ahead of the June 2028 election. Australia last held a two-year rotating seat in 2013-2014 and is running on 'we listen, we partner, we protect,' continuing a bid first announced in 2015.
