Labour would split supermarket wholesale and retail

Labour would make Foodstuffs and Woolworths run wholesale – supplying other grocers – separately from their supermarkets if it wins November's election, commerce spokesperson Arena Williams said. Labour says it would create Foodstuffs Wholesale and Woolworths Wholesale, giving smaller grocers more supply options and making it easier to open new supermarkets.
