Western Australia authorizes first shark catch-and-kill in 10 years

Western Australia has ordered fisheries officers to catch and kill the great white shark behind Friday's fatal attack on 63-year-old swimmer Greg O'Neill at Perth's Sorrento Beach. Minister Jackie Jarvis cited exceptional circumstances after police identified the shark Saturday. Great whites are normally protected in Australia; officials say this is the first such order in 10 years.
