
FCC Clears 49.5% Gulf Stake in Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger
FCC has cleared state investment funds from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi to own a combined 49.5% of Paramount-Warner Bros. if its merger closes, double the usual 25% foreign limit for TV station owners. Paramount holds 28 stations using public airwaves, which required FCC approval.
