Hacktron team used Claude to hack OpenAI accounts and code systems

A three-person Hacktron AI team used a researcher version of Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.8 to breach OpenAI under its bug-bounty program, which invites security testing, in under 72 hours. They linked two critical flaws to take over multiple employee ChatGPT accounts, reaching OpenAI software and its private GitHub.
