Supreme Court leaves mail-voting rule block in place for November

The Supreme Court on Sept. 14, 2026, denied the stay in Postal Service v. California, the Court's order said. That leaves the block on parts of the U.S. Postal Service mail-in voting rule in place for the November 2026 election. A stay is a request to pause a lower-court order while a case continues.
