ACT to keep gentailers whole, opposes NZ First split

ACT will stop power companies being broken up, energy spokesperson Simon Court said at Parliament. He said keeping gentailers — companies that both generate power and sell it to households — whole would protect supply. Court said a split would not add generation, gas or transmission lines. NZ First says splitting generation from retail would cut prices.
