Purgatory world-premieres in TIFF Discovery

Purgatory, Lindsay Lanzillotta's 1980s coming-of-age dramedy, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in Discovery, according to TIFF. Christine Speer wrote the screenplay about Beatrice trying to reunite her separated parents, according to Deadline. The Canada-US production is Lanzillotta's first feature as director, according to TIFF.
