BBC puts Doctor Who Season 16 out to competitive tender

The BBC has invited outside producers to bid for Doctor Who Season 16, Deadline reported. The bake-off process, meaning rival pitches to refresh the series, follows departures of Russell T Davies, Bad Wolf, Disney and Ncuti Gatwa. Initial bids are due 2 October, with interviews in January 2027 and contract award in March.
