Saudi Arabia Closes Red Sea Oil Bypass After Attacks

Saudi Arabia closed its east-west crude pipeline to the Red Sea after attacks by an Iran-backed group in Iraq, Sept. 17 reporting said. The pipeline was a key detour while Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway for much of the world's oil. Loadings at Yanbu were disrupted, prices rose $3, with Chinese prices at records.
