Notes.fm raises $5 million to recover unpaid royalties

Music royalty platform Notes.fm has raised $5 million to expand its hunt for unclaimed royalties, Billboard reported on 17 September 2026. Backers include Benny Blanco, Zach Bryan, Ari Emanuel, Sam Hendel and Julie Greenwald. Launched in 2024 by Stem co-founder Tim Luckow, it audits catalogues across streaming services, the Mechanical Licensing Collective, the US mechanical royalties body, and SoundExchange.
