Israel Film Council wants festivals cut from funding formula after Naza premiere

Israel's Film Council has recommended removing festival selections from the points system that allocates state film money, according to Deadline. The council, which advises the Culture Ministry, also proposed a state-backed strand for films about “heroism” of Israeli soldiers after an emergency meeting on documentary Naza's Venice premiere, according to Deadline.
