Instagram Carousels Now Support Individual Slide Captions

Instagram has rolled out per-slide captioning for carousel posts (multi-image collections of up to 20 slides), effective 18 June 2026. Previously, a single caption applied to the entire carousel, limiting options for annotated graphics, multilingual content, or sequential instructions. Developers integrating Instagram's API must update their code to handle the new caption fields and avoid compatibility issues.
