Former Boston Priest Shown in 'Spotlight' Dies in Custody at 83

Ronald Paquin, 83, the former Boston priest seen admitting abuse in the film Spotlight, died Sept. 11 in custody. Maine corrections officials said he was held at the Mountain View facility in Charleston. His abuse was first reported by the Boston Globe Spotlight team, leading to his 2002 guilty plea and removal from the priesthood (defrocking).
