Lords Panel Calls for Near-Total Gambling Ad Ban

A cross-party House of Lords Liaison Committee called for the UK to ban almost all gambling ads, marketing and sponsorship. Its 173-page report proposes a tobacco-style blanket ban, exempting only the lottery and racecourses. The committee argues the measure would best curb financial ruin, broken relationships and suicide linked to gambling.
