Lords Committee Urges Tobacco-Style Ban on Almost All Gambling Advertising

A cross-party House of Lords Liaison Committee urged the UK to ban almost all gambling advertising, marketing and sponsorship in a 173-page report. It recommended a tobacco-style blanket ban, with carve-outs for the lottery and racecourses, saying it would best reduce financial ruin, relationship breakdown and suicide.
