Bill would ban companies from controlling doctor practices

Six lawmakers — Warren, Wyden, Merkley, Hoyle, Ocasio-Cortez and Subramanyam — introduced a bill September 16, 2026 to ban companies from controlling doctors' practices. It would close loopholes firms use to get around the ban. I see risk for practice ownership structures, but passage is uncertain and the exact definition of control matters.
