Online charter school approved to reach 3000 by 2028

Aotearoa Infinite Academy can grow to 2000 students next year and 3000 in 2028, the Charter School Agency said. The online charter school — a publicly funded school run outside state-school rules — opened in 2026 with 200 students. At 2000 it would be among the 30 largest schools; at 3000, among the top three to five.
