Up to 170 staff at Build A Rocket Boy were laid off, Kotaku reported in May 2026, citing two sources via PC Gamer. IGN had earlier reported redundancies — job cuts — during the troubled launch of MindsEye, which the studio confirmed. The studio issued no formal statement on the later cuts.
