Kotaku reported in May 2026 that up to 170 Build A Rocket Boy employees were affected by layoffs, per two sources cited via PC Gamer. IGN previously reported the studio began redundancies amid MindsEye's disastrous launch, which the studio confirmed. The studio made no formal statement on the later cuts.
