Apple to re-enter servers with M8 Ultra systems in 2029

Apple plans enterprise servers built around two or four M8 Ultra chips for 2029, its first since retiring Xserve in 2011. The Information, via The Verge, reports Apple is aiming its ARM-based M silicon, its efficient chip architecture, at demand for AI computing.
