Apple plans return to servers with M8 Ultra systems in 2029

Apple plans to re-enter the server market with enterprise systems using two or four M8 Ultra chips, targeting a 2029 debut, its first servers since retiring Xserve in 2011. The Information, via The Verge, says Apple aims its ARM-based M silicon at AI compute demand.
