Australia's aged-care funding algorithm leaves assessors no override power

Australia's aged-care assessors cannot override the Support at Home funding calculation, produced by the Integrated Assessment Tool. Under the Aged Care Rules 2025, effective 1 November, they have no legal discretion to change the result. The department had earlier said an override would exist, and built it, but the final law removed that option.
